Galaga Christmas Ornament - $18.50
Hallmark really hit the nail on the head last year when it debuted a miniature Pac-Man cabinet complete with sounds and lights to hang from our holiday trees. While you might have a hard time finding everyone's favorite ghost mucher again (Hallmark are sticklers for the "limited time" concept,) this year they're following up with a personal favorite: Galaga. Added bonus? The little ship can help fight off any ticks or fleas that might have smuggled their way in on your tree. That dude HATES bugs. Click here to buy.
Atari Cartridge Wallet - $35-$55
Upcycling rules. Seriously -- ask any filthy hippie and they'll tell you the same. Regardless of how you might feel about turning trash into treasure you have to admit that repurposing old Atari carts into wallets is a genius idea. No part is wasted either. The springwire that kept the game together? Now it's a money clip. The game chip? Serves as both a card holder and a fully functioning game chip. That's right -- this is a wallet you can play. Visit NilesZ.com for details on the project, or click here to buy.
Nintendo Room Decals - $49.99-$69.99
When most people think of wall decals, they tend to think of the Strawberry Shortcake or Dora the Explorer stickers adorning their kids rooms. But why should your wiener offspring have all the fun? Thinkgeek.com offers wall stickers to turn any room into a living breathing piece of Nintendo history. Choose from Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. Each set comes with dozens of reusable stickers, so you should be able to move them around should a misplaced barrel leave your heart a little empty. Click here to buy.
Replica Halo Energy Sword - $49.99
I don't care who you are or how much you might hate Halo -- we all have that one friend who's been clocking hours in Halo 3 every day since launch, has a Halo tattoo, and drives around with a "My Other Car is a Warthog" bumper sticker. Regular readers of the site will know this gentleman as commenter Utopaline. I can vouch for this. I've been in the car that's not a Warthog. For friends like Utopaline, there's simply no better gift this holiday season. Click here to buy.
i am 8-bit: Art Inspired by Classic Video Games of the 1980's - $15.61
Held annually in Los Angeles, the i am 8-bit art show has become something of a mecca for old school gamers. But what about those of us who can't afford to make the trip? The i am 8-bit book collects more than 100 pieces of original art that will do any gamer's soul good. Also -- there's a dirty picture of Princess Peach. just sayin'. Click here to buy.
Mario Garden Decorations - $10
Our dear friend and former staffer Christina Winterburn is something of a Jill of all Trades. Sure she writes, but she crafts too! These little guys (like most of the items in her Etsy Store Pixelated Creations) are made from fused perler beads. Expect them to sell out quick -- but even if they do, there's tons of great items in her store! Her Dig Dug fridge magnets still hold my kids crappy art to my cold food box. Click here to buy.
Obama '08-bit - $17
If it stands to reason that a good citizen is a voting citizen, than a good gamer must also be a voting gamer -- am I right? Wear your voter pride on your sleeve... err.. chest. Show everyone that you not only backed the right candidate, but you killed time on your Gameboy while waiting for your turn in the booth. Besides -- who doesn't love seeing contemporary political figures sketched out like a character in a Sierra game? I can see it now: Obama Quest II: The Search for Bi-Partisanship. Click here to buy.
Tilt: The Battle to Save Pinball - $20
Pinball is one of those things that we all knew would stand the test of time... but then it didn't. And while well-worn flippers and silver balls seemed to disappear quietly from public view, the battle that raged to save the pinball industry couldn't have been more passionate or exciting. A 60 minute documentary chronicling Williams last-ditch effort to save a dying industry, Tilt is easily the most important documentary on the history of gaming to date. Sure King of Kong and Chasing Ghosts were top notch, but let's be frank -- those were films less about our hobby and more about extreme hobbyists. If you've already seen Tilt but haven't checked out the DVD, you haven't seen anything yet. More than 3 hours of interviews round out the second disc, and it's pretty much all gold. Click here to buy.
Custom Pokemon Hoodie - Prices Vary

Still -- this will make an excellent "it's on it's way" gift for any Pokefanatic in your family. Click here to buy.

Who's your favorite NES character? Why aren't you wearing them as a hat yet? If you answered "because no one will make me a god damned Blaster Master hat, thank you very much," your prayers have been answered. Karahrhea on Etsy will take custom orders to cross stitch whatever 8-bit moment you might want onto a baseball cap. Me? I want Thomas from Kung Fu kicking one of those damned snake baskets.
