With the revival of Street Fighter, a lot of fans have been wondering how long it will be until a new installment of the Alpha / Zero series takes form. While we wait, it looks like some of us will be spending our time playing Alpha 3 on PSN, as the ESRB has posted a listing for the game.

Sorry 360 owners, but I doubt this one will be heading to XBLA, at least in its current form - the PSN verision of Alpha 3 is actually a port of the PSP's iteration [why do they put fighting games on portables?]. If it ever does make its way to XBLA, it will probably be a Dreamcast port.
For those not in the know, the Alpha series is a spinoff of the original Street Fighter games which focuses on bigger combos, longer juggles, and faster gameplay.
No date has been set, but we'll have more news as it comes.
So does this mean I have to go buy an arcade stick for my PS3 now?
