Creepy Cobain footage reminds me why I hate Guitar Hero

While ultimately I blame Courteny Love and whoever else's job it is to protect the Nirvana licenses, could Activision/Neversoft shown any less restraint here?? I'm no Kurt Cobain worshiper but jebus christmas guys that's in poor taste. Oh, and those in-game avatars look fucking stupid.

Y'know, everyone's complaining about the Kurt Cobain footage, but...am I the only one more upset about Johnny Cash being in the game?

I'd pay money for Guitar Hero: Johnny Cash.

The only problem with the band specific versions of GH is there's never enough songs from one artist to make a complete game, so they have to get song from the band that inspired them, why not make it a dual band format and just have songs from that band?

God I can't believe I shelled out cash for GH5, it sucks. I'm about 6 venues into the game and there's like 8 more to go, the game is way too long, and about half the songs i've never heard of, and after playing them I understand why. At least Beatles will be out next week and at least all the songs (save 1) will be unlocked to start.

Hopefully this game will teach Activision a lesson, but I'm sure, like Madden, it'll sell just fine.

A bit off topic, but...

This has nothing to do with the article, though I completely agree that the in-game avatars look dumb as hell, but what's going on with the BBPS? There's usually only one new article a day, and some days we get nothing. I'm still thoroughly enjoying the articles being written, but I used to visit the site several times a week, and now I only have to return once a week to see the five (or less) articles written.

In no way am I attacking this site or its writers, I'm just disappointed to see the extreme lack of content ever since Dan stepped down. And what happened to Marissa? She wrote some damn funny stuff and now she's gone?
